I was pleasantly surprised that they had gluten free options and were very conscious of their cooking. For someone that doesn't usually like fish, this was great! The portions are great for the price, and it's a nice stop to try an iconic meal.

My new chippy! First of all the people that run the place are brilliant and really friendly. They actually care about it being healthy (but not in a boring way where it tastes like cardboard), they use tallow instead of seed oils, which to be honest tastes way better as well. The chips were great, and the fish was brilliant. The batter was nice and crispy and not soggy like some chippies do. They also do a really good deal for a small fish and chips, which would be totally adequate if you're not that hungry or buying for a child, but you're going to want to get a full sized portion, because it's tasty. Their curry sauce is also really nice and tastes like it is home made. It has a nice warmth to it and a bit of a kick. You can taste the spice, but it isn't too hot. Always seem to be able to park right outside, even when it is busy which is helpful, and a friend of mine is gluten intolerant, and says they provide gluten free options. And last but not least, when it comes to takeaways, it REALLY helps that they take card payments.

I have just had large crispy haddock and mushy peas .from J Seas harpers Lane chorley .always enjoyed before and today was even better.simply the best. I was a lorry driver .for all my working life no fish and chippy has ever matched harpers lane chippy today .that's grimsby hull Fleetwood all over uk .simply the best .harpers lane chorley.

The food here is amazing. Good quality good size portions and at a really good price. The fish and chips are excellent and so is the chilli. Staff are lovely and friendly. I highly recommend a visit.

The food was delicious! It was classic fish and chips and the perfect true English experience. The service was also excellent, and fast! I ordered in a large group of twenty or more and my food came out in only a few minutes with a smile added no charge :)
